If you are working in an energy-related field at the University of Leeds and would like to become involved with the Centre for Integrated Energy Research, please contact Professor William Gale for further information. The Centre can help you develop your research by providing the following support:

  • Opportunities to develop research interests and profile in an area of strategic importance to the University, research funders (public sector and industrial), Government (UK and EU) and the general public
  • Support for proposal development, for research concepts integrating technological and social science perspectives, including: interdisciplinary research concept development; interface to industry and policy makers; project management; and, connections to researchers, across campus and beyond, with interests in energy
  • Coaching, mentoring, and support with project planning, for interdisciplinary PhD students
  • Tailored funding opportunity searches and on-going scanning
  • Support for ‘in-flight’ energy-related research and innovation projects, integrating technological and social science perspectives, including: integration of disciplinary perspectives and facilitating interdisciplinary conversations; interface to industry and policy makers, to promote research dissemination and impact; and, connections to researchers, across campus and beyond, with interests in energy
  • Financial and facilitation support for CIER-branded initiatives that build links between disciplines
